Roots Red Sea is situated in Egypt on the edge of the Eastern Desert next to the Red Sea, 80 kilometres south of Safaga and 14 kilometres north of El Quseir.  

 

Roots Red Sea is managed by British-owned and run Pharaoh Dive Club who have an unsurpassed reputation for friendly helpful staff delivering great personal service. Owners Steve and Clare have vast experience of the Red Sea having been working the area for over 20 years.  Their simple mantra is to deliver the holiday the guest wants and treat everyone the way they would liked to be treated themselves, it is certainly a winning formula. There is a distinct no problem attitude and nothing is too much trouble for the team.

Just a short walk away is the Roots private beach on Abu Sauatir Bay. Here you will find all you need to while away the hours: sun loungers; parasols, toilets, showers and the Beach Bistro where lunch is served each day.

 

The facilities at Roots are charmingly rustic.  A traditionally built reception welcomes guests with inspirational architecture. The chill out lounge and bar providing a quiet haven for relaxing and additionally serves refreshments to the fresh water pool just outside.  Across the courtyard lies the main restaurant serving sumptuous meals for the guests. The kitchen team are happy to cater for most dietary needs. Outside the restaurant is ‘The Terrace’ where the evening buffet is served most of the year.  Behind the Terrace is our Shisha Corner and camp fire in the colder months, the perfect place for spending the evening star gazing and chilling with friends.

 

The British owned and run PADI 5 Star IDC Dive Centre - Pharaoh Dive Club El Quseir has an unsurpassed reputation for friendly helpful staff delivering great personal service. The fully equipped dive centre sits right on site at Roots, offering all the support you need for the local diving and further afield excursions.

 

For certified divers, Pharaoh Dive Club wants you to dive where and how you want, each day you have a choice of house reef, outside shore diving by bus, zodiac diving from the harbour, day boat diving or excursions. The various packages can include 2 guided dives per day which can be taken two in the morning returning for lunch with an extra third dive in the afternoon, or one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

 

For those wanting the adventure of night diving, the house reef offers phenomenal dives with Spanish dancers, turtles, octopus, cuttlefish, crabs, shrimps and a variety of other regular stars. Night dives are available on request every day with 24 hours notice for permissions, no minimum numbers.
