Diving in Egypt
Dahab is the laid back and almost Bohemian resort with a focus on diving, chilling out, diving and then more chilling out, unless of course you are a little more energetic and want to have a try at windsurfing – Dahab is a top destination for this sport too!

Hurghada and El Gouna sit the other side of the Sinai Peninsula and across the water on mainland Egypt, and the diving here is in our opinion some of the best there is in this part of the World – all of the big wrecks that the liveaboards visit on their itineraries are based at Abu Nuhas, a short boat trip from either Hurghada or El Gouna, so for wreck diving fans, this is perhaps the place to be! The reefs don’t disappoint either – the huge offshore reefs of Giftun Island are amazing sites, and often have some current too for some good drifting and the bigger marine life encounters.

As we go further South along the mainland, we get to El Quseir, and this is one of our very different dive destinations. For the serious diver, we can’t think of anything better in Egypt! El Quseir is a tiny town equidistant between Hurghada and Marsa Alam giving plenty of flight options, and the diving here is excellent and great value too! Shore diving is the order of the day here, although day boats and zodiacs are available on a daily basis too, but it is the simple pleasure of diving when you want and where you want that makes this one of our favourite places to visit.
Deep Thought
Egypt is the best short haul destination for UK divers! Have you seen Finding Nemo?!?!?
